Sweeping the streets

When I saw this photograph, I knew I had to paint this, right away! The brightness of the woman's saree against the gray background was riveting! I enjoyed the knife work, adding texture in the foreground, and learnt how to take some artistic license to avoid the painting looking like a photograph.
